Meet Kyra Terrell, founder of The Village Nanny Co.
With nearly 20 years of childcare experience, a bachelor’s degree in Education, and more than a decade working with private families, Kyra brings firsthand understanding of dependable, personalized support to nanny and household staffing.

My journey in childcare began during my early adolescent years and has grown into nearly two decades of experience caring for children and supporting families. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education and have spent more than a decade working closely with private families. Those experiences showed me just how meaningful it is to have someone dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy beside you during life’s most important seasons.
Originally from Chicago, I moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area in 2018 after getting married that same year. I’m a proud mother of two beautiful earthside boys! After becoming parents, our lives changed in some of the best yet most challenging ways. Parenthood brought us more love and joy than we could have imagined, but it also showed us how deeply families need support.
Without local biological family nearby, my husband and I quickly understood what it meant to build our village from the ground up. We learned firsthand that love may fill a home, but having trusted people to lean on can make all the difference.
That experience became the heart behind The Village Nanny Co. I knew I wanted to help other mothers and families feel supported, understood, and a little less alone. Trusting someone with what matters most—your children, your home, and your peace of mind—is never easy. But your village does exist. All you need is the right connection.
